Centenary A significant year in the study of Cornwall’s stone crosses, 2011 marked the centenary of the death of two renowned artists and antiquarians of the Victorian period. Both John Thomas Blight (1835 – 1911) and Arthur Gregory Langdon (1852 – 1911) brought awareness of the stone crosses to the wider public and were the forerunners in promoting and encouraging the restoration and preservation of these monuments. You can read their books on line and even download them to Kindle or other digital readers by clicking on a title.
